Description

Ed Galloway's Totem Pole Park, Foyil Oklahoma, October 2016.

One of the problems with taking a vacation in October is that a lot of places have shorter hours if not closed for the season.

This is the Fiddle House.  It was built in 1949.  This eleven sided building once housed 300 fiddles made by Ed Galloway.  Each of the fiddles were crafted out of different kind of wood.  Also inside the Fiddle House were "90" inlaid wood tables and inlaid wood pictures, all of which were also made by Mr Galloway.

I don't know how much of the collection is still housed inside.  Mr Galloway passed away in 1962.  The 1.5 acres that holds the buildings and sculptures was donated to the
Rogers County Historical Society in 1991 by the Galloway family.

While the park is not on Route 66, it is only about 3 miles away, and with enough bill board advertisement, it became a popular stop for tourists.
