Natures Acres by RonTheTurtleman Natures Acres by RonTheTurtleman
Nature’s Acres on Route 66 near Catoosa Oklahoma, October 2016.

They no longer allow swimming in the pond that houses the Blue Whale.  Not just for liability reasons, but because it really isn't safe.

The pond used to be fed by a spring, but flooding has changed the course of the creek from the spring and so the pond no longer gets a constant flow of fresh water.  This means that the water has become somewhat stagnant and also the water in the pond is much warmer than it used to be.  These two factors greatly increase the chance of contracting primary amebic meningoencephalitis.

Yeah people don't really realize how unsafe certain water sources can be. Also this particular structure doesn't look very safe either

There were a number of small buildings, small bridges and walkways that didn't look very safe.  I hope no one is ever fool enough to climb out on this thing, but if they do and if they get hurt, then I hope everyone would let them know that they were asking for it.
